DPMS 7.62 cast bullet load needed

I am buying a DPMS 7.62 NATO Sportical and am looking for125 to 150 gr cast load combo that will function. Shooting action matches at short range. I have lots of H335.

I have full power loads that should work.

Suggest you read BruceB's "sticky" at the top of this forum. It's the one about loading for the M1A. Pretty much all that applies to reloading for the M1A is going to apply to your AR. To get reliable functioning you may have to drive the 125 - 150 gr cast bullets too fast tfor accuracy depending on the twist of the DPMS barrel.

holding enough gas pressure is gonna be your biggest obstacle.
if it were my brass flinger i think i would target a vel in the range of [1900] fps and try different powders then pick the best couple and go from there with alloys and powder amounts.
you know that you need x amount of powder volumn to make the thing ffling brass so powders that'll produce that volumn is where id look [3031 kinda] area.
