I've had some great results with a batch of WC846, and thought I'd share'em for anyone interested.....

1.) A very mild practice load for the .308 uses 24gn. WC846 and a Lyman 170 gn. cast. This one runs about 1450 fps or so. Shoots real well from my Rem. 700.

2.) In the 45/70 Guide Gun, I've had good results from 49 gn. WC-846 and a 400 gn. PB cast, from a Lee mold. About 1350 fps.

3.) .348 Win. ...Best load so far with the WC-846 has been 37.0 gns. behind a 180gn. cast. Running about 1800 fps.

4.) Listed purely as a reference for this powder...although not a cast load:
I've gotten awesome precision in my 30/06 shooting 43.0 gn. powder behind a Hornady 180 SST. approx. 2350 fps. Single "ragged" hole groups from my out-of-the-box Rem. 700. @ 100 yds.

These are all very mild loads in my rifles. Your results may differ...the usual cautions apply.
Cheers,
Don
