Raining today.
Started casting with one of my Lee 6 cavity molds. After about an hour, one of the guide pins fell out.
Any fix or a trip back to Lee?

Just guessing here, maybe some high temp loctite. It would probably be a temporary fix though.
I don't have a Lee 6-cavity, but is it possible to drill and tap and install an 8X32 set screw, at a right angle to the pin?

See if you can stake it in, if not then maybe I would send it back to Lee so that they can be aware of the problem.

I put Loctitie on it. We will see how that holds up.

Loctite won't work at that temperature. I just push mine in just a bit and stake them all before I even use them the first time. Most all of them loosen with use, some sooner than others.

some judicious use of j.b. weld in a roughed up area could well fix it.

When it happened to me, I stippled the pin that would sit inside the block with a center punch leaving ~.1 inch on the end clean to aid in starting it back in the hole straight. Then I pressed the pin back into the block with a bench vise. Many thousands cast since with no further issue.
