Has any one used this with the H&G # 68 (200 gr) bullet in a 1911 pistol? I have a pound of it and the data gathered from online is NOT giving me the accuracy I want/need to shoot competition. I am running out of Universal Clays that gives me 1 1/2" 25 yard groups. I don't really have the $$ for another powder right now.

All I know of Autocomp is that the data for it right now (introductory period) is really warm. I'd suggest backing down to mid-range loads with it to try to find a more accurate combo. Autocomp is a lot like Hs-6 or Herco, which is to say on the slow side for 45ACP.
When you run out of it, I think you may want to give green dot and/or 700x a try. These are two shotgun powders that do great target work in the 45ACP.

I would guess Autocomp is on the slow side to get more out of the comp when used in 9mm/38 super major pf type applications. Not sure it's going to do what you need it to do in 45. Would trading it to someone be an option?
Keep reducing the load until you start getting malfunctions (FTF, stovepipe), then start moving back up until you have reliable functioning. If that doesn't provide satisfactory accuracy - you need another powder. I use 3.6 BE, and can't think of any reason not to.

Echo, what weight bullet are you using? I'm using a 205 grain bullet cast from WW alloy in an H&G mold. I do have a couple pounds of Bulls Eye,but when I tried it in a S&W 645 it was NOT very accurate with any bullets or charges I tried! Maybe I will have to revisit B.E. for the 1911/205 SWC!
