View Full Version : This is my favorite recipe for elk steaks

It would probably work for venison too.

1lb elk steak.
Pepper
1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup
about 1/4th of a large onion
3 small or 2 large russet potatoes.
1/2 cup of milk.

Directions:

Spray Pam or whatever in a large skillet (I use a chicken fryer skillet for this).
Season the elk stakes with pepper and stick them on med high heat for 4-5 minutes per side.
While the elk steaks are browning, chop up the onion and slice the potatoes.
Remove the steaks from the skillet once they are browned.
Add the onions and potatoes for a few minutes to brown them.
While the onions and potatoes are browning, slice up the steaks into bite sized strips.
Add the steaks to the veggies, and pour in the can of soup and milk.
Lower heat and simmer for 45 minutes.

Serves 2.
