IMR4831 works in 303Brit ?!!!

Last night I tested some 314299's in my 18.5 " bbl jungle carbine loaded with 44 grains of IMR4831 and much to my surprise, they shot great! I was averaging 2 inch groups (off hand) at 50 yards! I didn't think this would be possible with this powder, but hey....it's another recipe for the book now. Has anyone else tried IMR4831 in the 303? I'm not sure of the velocity but there was plenty:Fire: of recoil and white flames!

4831 as well as rl-19 do very well in the mauser size cases.
also the 308 sized ones so why not the 303

I guess I thought it was too slow. It's the powder of choice in my .338 and 7mag but I have not heard of anyone using it in 303.

Never used it in 303 but a case full of it is just perfect for my argentine Mausers (jacketed bullet), an even smaller case. I don't see an issue. Shoot away! :)

H-4350 works very well in the .303 British also.

H4831SC is very accurate in my 7.5 Swiss, another similar sized round to the .303.
