another rifle to feed, want to shoot?

just got an 8mm yugo 24/47 mauser, and a lee 8mm gc mold, but NO gas checks.

will it lead the bore if I shoot these with 10 - 13 grains of red dot, without checks, if the bullet is large enough for the throat? just want to play, but not waste my time and componets!

:)any one want to trade me some 8mm gas checks for some .30 cal gas checks?:)
