38 spl cases

I've got 8 lbs of 38 spl +p cases. Any one know how many that is? I really don't want to count them all. All I've got is a bathroom scale.

Weigh 1 case on your powder scale
then do the math

8 LB x 7000 gr = 56000
56000 / weight of 1 case

The following was posted once by someone that deals in much brass - going by this , 8 lbs. would be approx. 730 cases. We coulda counted 'em while we were typing !

45 ACP APROX 12.7(12.5) PER K
223 APROX 14(13.7) PER K
308 APROX (25.5) PER K
9MM APROX 9 (8.7) PER K
40 S&W aprox 10(9.9) per k
38 Spec. 11 per k

On another forum they list 102.8 cases per pound. 9.7#'s per 1000 cases

102.8 x 8 #'s = 822.4

You need to count them and let us know !!! lol [smilie=1:
