I reload for 45 auto and 44 mag. I am now entering the world of loading 9mm Luger as I just got an XDm in 9mm. Bought the RCBS-9mm-124-RN-TG mould and I'm casting and sizing to .357 (bore slugged at .355). I am going to try a few powders (HS-6, Accurate No 5, Ramshot True Blue and Zip, etc.). I loaded a dummy or 2 just to see what they look like and I noticed that most loads use an OAL 1.1?? and a minimum is 1.090. Looks like I may have to go a little shorter. My concern is that I am afraid that due to the size of the base of the bullet and using a suggested load of 5.4 or 5.6 grains of Acccurate No 5 I may come close to compressing the load. Just trying to think things thru before I load and shoot.

Does anyone have a 9mm Loadbook USA for 9mm? I noticed that my 45 has loads for RCBS moulds. Where is RCBS mould loads published? I luv RCBS moulds but their loads are not as easy to find as Lymans.

Any help is greatly appreciated! :-D

Left is 1.030 and middle is 1.100

They are sweet moulds, I usually shoot conicals, although the 9milly side of things has been on the backburner the past few years, I've been concentrating on cowboy stuff.

Ive shot it alot but have had better luck with accuracy with the version that goes about 120 and doesnt have the sharp shoulder on it. they also made a 115 grain version of that bullet that shoots very well.

I haven't used that boolit - I use the Lyman -402 - but I suggest using the 1.1 OAL, as it provides plenty of shoulder to seat on the leade. Let us know what the accuracy of this load is. And don't worry abou a little compression of the charge...

Load the bullet just until the bullet touches the throat in your barrel. Don't crimp, just remove the bell. You will fined this will give you the best accuracy.
