I noticed on the drawings that these molds are specificly not recomended for the M48 Yugo Mausers. I assume that there are some throat dimension issues. Can someone explain the problem to me? If they really won't work, then I had better cancel my back orders....[smilie=1:

They won't feed well in my M24/47. Edge of meplat jams on rear edge of chamber.

My Karibiner feeds fine in my "as-new" M-48 and shoots great too.

Both the Karabiner and Maximum are the same except for the nose. The boolit is meant for the large/worn throat Mausers. The boolit was designed to hunt with.

Thanks for the replies, but I guess the only way to know is to do a chamber cast, and compare to the drawings. alrighty then.....

No, you don't have to do that. While that will certainly work, you can partially size a neck, lightly flare it, finger start the bullet, and slam it home on a dummy round- no powder or primer- and see where it ends up. That will give you the seating depth. An examination of the case neck (soot it first) will tell you if the chamber is tight.

Though the chamber cast if fun to make... :)

Don't have the mold yet. Maybe someone could send me some samples.
