Will the Magma shovel handle work on the orignal Star Sizer? Also does anyone know the size and thread of the bolt that holds the handle in? I was tighting mine and sheered the damn thing off. Not only do i have to replace it but have to get what's left out of there without screwing it up. Mine has 5 washers that the bolt goes through. Is this correct? Why not use 1 washer and a smaller bolt? Just wondering.

The thread is 5/16" NC.( I beleive, I know it is a very common) The original had a special washer so that a standard bolt length (1/2") would be correct. I have one with the original washer and the other has two common flat washers. Both work well. I am sure the five washers was used so that a more common length bolt could be used.

my older ones have hex head screws in them and i had to make a small bushing for the shovel handle to fit i used a piece of golf club handle cut and then sawn lengthwise.
