Has anyone had any luck loading any of the 10mm/40cal Lees in their 38/40 leverguns, was wondering if the multigroove might have a groove in the right place to crimp into? or if they feed ok. Shooting an `89 Marlin

I've never tried them (though I want to) because the locals who have tried them say the hang up upon entering the chamber on '73's. It is probably more of a matter of ogive than bullet length. Gradual taper bullets don't work well in my rifles because the throat is so short.

I`ve been tempted to buy one, there seems to be lots on ebay, just would rather know if it`s been tryed before I buy a mold that would otherwise be of no use to me. I don`t like the look of that straight taper, but if it would feed ok, i could live with it.

i use the magma 38-40 mold it's a rnfp and glides through a 92.
also works nice in the rugers.

I tried some of the TC multi grooved bullets and wasn't thrilled with them.

For some reason the bullets did not crimp well compared to a round nose flat point.

They moved into the case under the pressure of the tube mag spring in my Winchester 1873, and hung up and wouldn't feed.

I went back to the RNFP and have had no further problems.
