I have two home made lubes I have tried but neither gives me the accuracy that BAC from White Label gives me. They also shoot about 4 or 5 minutes lower. This is with smokeless in my 45-70.

Anyway the first lube a friend makes and it is deer tallow and lard, he says he also mixes STP with it for hotter loads but I have not tried it that way.

The other lube that I make myself is from a member here and is 50% beeswax, 25% crisco, and 25% peanut oil.

Liquid Alox up to 2400fps.

Bahhh, gorilla snot. Not for use in dusty environments, it captures dirt & dust and drags it through beautiful rifle barrels. It's just my opinion, and I agree with me 100%, but if you don't have a lubrisizer, you're better of pan lubing, so your lube is contained, away from the elements.

Hobbles, If you want to make it yourself then there are several recipes on this forum. If you want to buy then White label is very good and cheap. If you shoot BP then the lube NASA sold by BULLSHOP can't be beat. I make my own, use White Label for all smokeless loads and use NASA for my special BP loads. So, you will probably end up like me and have lube all over.
