My RCBS cast bullet manual, circa 1986, gives the following info:

Marlin 336 35Rem Caliber 20" bbl

200gr lead gascheck bullet:

Herco- 11.0 gr- 1333 fps
WW748- 33.0 gr- 1653fps
4320- 35.0gr 1892fps
H380- 39.0gr 1819fps

These are "starting loads"-- proceed with caution-

I shoot 24gr IMR4198 under 200gr RCBS fn for 1775-1800 fps in mine. Max load is 27gr. (from IMR handbook.) Light recoil and as accurate as I can shoot. Shoot Straight, T-Bird

I use 4198 also, 24 to 26.5gr depending on the gun. Under the RCBS 200.

I use the max, and also accuracy load in the new Lyman 49 manual of AA-2015 behind both the Hornady 200 gr RN, and the RCBS 35-200 FN in my Marlin 35 Rem. They are both very accurate, and both shoot to the same point of impact which is nice.
