Guys, I've been running some jacketed bullets with Surplus 4895, S4895 I call it, over my Chrony. These are where I stopped adding powder either because the velocity was high enough or in the case of the 185 Rem because the load was thrown with a Lee 3.4cc dipper. All rounds were seated .010" to .015" from the lands. Chrony placed 10 feet from the muzzle. All groups = 5 shots.

Rifle = butchered 38 Turk M98 8x57mm Mauser. 20" barrel.

Cases = neck sized R-P in Redding die
Primers = CCI LR
Seater = Lee with indexed seater screw

150 gr Hornady SP: 49.5 grs; AV = 2765 fps; ES = 32; SD = 12

175 Sierra SP: 47.5 grs; AV = 2537 fps; ES = 24; SD = 9

185 Rem SP: 44.3 grs; AV = 2339; ES = 24; SD = 10

200 gr Speer SP: 44.5 grs; AV = 2340; ES = 16; SD = 7

Well, the Chrony data looks good. Next, I'll see how they group.
