Have a chance to buy some surplus 4895 and some of the 7320. What the heck is 7320 ? I'm sure it has some other designations, guy says data for .223 would be starting at 24 gr. Even at $10 a lb. , I'd still like to know what it is. Anybody ?

Prolly a new (actually old) lot of something similar to the more common military stuff actually used. So, assume the powder can be close to Unique (9mm), 2400 (30 carbine/russy), BLC2/H335(223/308). The numbers indicate a single base composition. If he says 24 grains in 223, the powder will be a circa H322. ... felix

Couple guys that do the Knob Creek thing, one is a CL 3 manufacturer - they recently had 650,000 .30 FMJ bullets - they went fast. Don't know their source, and waiting to find out how the surp 4895 and this other powder will be packaged and how much they'll have - but I certainly am gonna get me some !

I would definitely get some of the other one too! It is very rare to find a powder that cannot be used in a very accurate load sometime in a 20 years span, minimum longevity of the powder. ... felix
