A search on ixquick tells me that it is a body filler much like JB weld. Has properties much like typesetters metal. If it will melt and cast I would shoot em.

I found the same thing , that it is a knifing putty for repairs in auto body or fiberglass. I agree, melt it and see what happens.

Cataloy is Carpetman's favorite alloy. For shootin cats.:kidding:

Actually I thought you spelled it wrong and looked up Castalloy. That turned up welding rods for cast iron, that's not it...Ray

i have some old rods of lead like stuff that bends really easy i just throw some in the pot with ww's if my boolits come out really shiny i assume it has a bit of tin in it, if not i just added some soft lead.
they still shoot with all the others in the pot just fine.

R5R, I'll bet those rods of lead-like stuff are tin anodes. I got some many years ago from hte base salvage yard.

JKieth, I guess there might be tin alloys that melt that high, but I wouldn't chance it if it has that high of a melting point, it might be zinc. Most tin alloys (= solders, and pewter) melt at around 450 degrees. Summa these thangs are also Cadmium. Cadmium is deadly poisonous. Makes lead seem like candy.
