Just like the .300 whisper and the 300/221. JD Jones copyrights the name.

I know the 375/444 doesn't have much of a shoulder but what angle is it. I'd like to compare it to the 9.5x57 which is app 21 deg.

umm i have both the dies sets ( 375/444 by redding and 375 jdj by rcbs ) i note no noticeable difference , there may be a thousandth here or there differing only in manufacturing tolerances but ...

hey jeff ? if you're breaking in a new barrel in this caliber allow me to suggest the speer 235 grainers ! what fun !!!! they also have two group buys going for hp 375's ,the brp spec'd one has done decent from mine ( it's the heavier of the two buys )

Quite some time back I poked 444 cases into my 9.5 X 56.7 M-S dies to form a rimmed M-S case for a Mosin rebarrel project for boolits. I have the reamer for the rimless case. Project still in limbo overtaken by........... You may want to check Donnelly's book on cartridge conversions and COW. I believe load data to be nearly the same, especially starting out where one starts lower in powder.
