I recently purchased a couple of M98 Chech Mausers that had been converted by Israel to 7.62.
Both stocks are toast so I want to make new ones.
The rear sight seems to be OK but has an extension on it for the hand guard to connect to.
Has anyone ever ground this off? What does the sight kook like after?
Is there an aftermarket sight that isn't too hard to install that is better?
There is some surface pitting on the outside of the barrels so I am going to Duracoat them.
Any suggestions as to which one to use to give the look of gun blue.
