I read somewhere where someone put a side mount scope mount on the M95 straight pull carbine. My eyes are such this sounds like a lovely idea. Problem - which mount would fit the weapon and still allow loading with the enbloc clip? I was thinking of the Williams mount with the scope not over the bore but to the left of the bore. I haven't measured yet but at a glance I thought maybe the Mauser 98 Williams base might work? Any thoughts?
Thanks
Eric

My 95 came with a side mount scope mount on it. I think it was modded from another rifle. It put the scope right over the magazine opening. Made it an absolute nightmare to load, hence the $100.00 price tag.

I'd much prefer a receiver sight like Buckshot shows in his pic to a scope. If I wanted a scope it would definitely be a scout scope setup.

Not a side mount but I modified (filed) an aluminum mount that fit the Russian rifle, fits over the original sight mount. It works for a scout scope.
