I'm thinking about trying PPing to bring my 180gr .311 boolits up to fit a .314 bore. Been scrounging the house for workable paper and came across a big wad of .0025 butcher paper that came as packing in a box form Mid South. Would this be workable for the job?

.............The main criteria or patching paper is that it MUST be of suitable quality to be well wetted and then hold together while it's stretched a bit when wrapped on the slug. When the paper dries it shrinks and grips the slug VERY tightly. I'd suspect that Mid South isn't going to be using any high quality paper as packing, but I've been wrong many times before. My suggestion is very simple ................try it and see what happens!
