What is a good price for linotype? I just got 150lbs for $50.00 is that good or bad? The other question I have is the spacers that are used with linotype do you treat those as lino or as lead? they seem to be softer.

.30/lb? Go back, get all he has for that price![smilie=2: BUT the spacers ARE softer. If you mix them,(depending on the ratio), you'll end up with a softer lino. Just melting the letter slugs will give you good lino, should be around 22 BHN.

Mongo,
Most folks figure that $1 per pound is a good price.
