View Full Version : LBT .452 360gr WFN compare to 360gr WLN
Anyone have any experience comparing these two? I found a load I like for my 4" Redhawk using the Cast Performance 360gr WFNGC bullet. I'd like to cast my own. I see LBT has a 350gr WFN and the 360gr WLN moulds. What's the difference?

The only difference is the nose length, the WFN is say .360" and the WLN would be .450" (as an example).Same meplat 80%.
WLN stands for Wide Long Nose.
WFN " ----Wide Flat Nose.

The other thing is it cost way more to set up to cast your own. The LBT is the best out there if you go that way.

I think the long nosed version shoots better at the far end of my abilities.

Thanks guys but....
I just realized I had a typo in my post. I meant to say:
I see LBT has a 350gr WFN and the 360gr LFN (not WLN) moulds. What's the difference?
I know what WFN, LFN and WLN mean. But, does the LFN have a smaller metplate? I do know a 300gr LFN has a smaller metplate than a 335 WFN, at least in the Cast Performance bullets.
