I ran out of super moly and can get a few bottles of lee alox locally but i know nothing about it. this is what i am told....

can be used on any cast bullet with or with out gas checks

dries and won't dampen powder

so with that being said, can i use it with my .303 british gc, 30.06 gc and .40 sw ?

what about the lube grooves on my boolits?

i am in the middle of lube/sizing and gc ing but ran out so i have to make a move fast

It'll probably be fine. Try it & see if you like it.

Let us know if you think the liquid alox is better than the super moly.

I'm guessing you were buying the Lyman spray on Super Moly? I've used that as a mold release with good effect To expensive as a boolit lube but it worked well.

Ck. your yellow pages for a source of bees wax. Go to your local auto parts store and get some moly based chassis lube, mix 50/50 and pore into your lube sizer.

Short answer, yes you can. I've used it on the 40 and on rifle too but haven't pushed it real hard, but then again I don't use GCs. Maybe if you post where you are about, someone from the board can help you out.

I have used LLA a lot and it has worked out good for me. Only two drawbacks I have seen is that it takes a while to dry and when I have used it in my Marlin lever rifles I had to start wiping the nose of the boolit off because the LLA was gumming up the loading area and the boolits got to where they didn't want to load well.

I have used LLA and works good on .303, .44 Mags w/GC and 9mm. I dip the bullets in a small cup of LLA diluted with mineral spirits. I usually use 2 light coats and have no leading. Using the dipping method I dont have any lube on the nose.

LLA works, I just don't like the way it smells or the mess it makes.

Cabella's by me has Lyman Super Moly & Orange Magic on the shelf. I would expect that you could mail order either from them.

LBT offers some very good lubes via mail order. I think that there is a 5 or 10 stick minimum though.

Bullshop offers his "speed green" lube via mail order. I haven't used it myself, but I have read some good reports about it.

I believe that one or two other board members also offer lube for sale.

Lars is one of us too.

Bullshops Speed green is also worth a look as its made from his world famous and absolutely indespensible Bull Plate lube.
