I don't want to ship this thing again. If I do its going to S&W. Is there a gunsmith that can fit a new cylinder in a K38?

In Western NY?

I am between roch and buffalo.

I think I am going to take it to a gunsmith I have done business in northern New York.

You might want to try Paul Martin at Pro Gun, right off the Thruway in Victor (Exit 45).

He does good work and backs it up.

alternatively, just a couple minute from pro-gun is Doug Turnbull. His work is well known.

Van Tassel?

YUP, known him for a LONG time. He is a good honest guy. I am going to call him monday and see if its his thing. Its a brand new cylinder. If I go, I will have him do a trigger job on my security six too.

He put a wilsons match grade barrel in my auto ordinance 45 a LONG time ago. I was shooting a bullseye match with it today. It will even feed a mag full of empty cases.

I bought a S&W model 25 in 45 colt. I had them do a trigger job where I bought the gun. I wasted $40.00 Then I sent it to Dennis Vantassel. He did a REAL trigger job. Slick and smooth as can be double action. Clean crisp and light single action. Its still that way 18 years later. The price was right too!

What shop is Van Tassel at?

Van Tassel is on St 37 just east of Watertown. Van Tassels Gun Shop I think is the name of the business.

I should take my 1911 out to him and have him fit the barrel. I'm too chicken and too busy to play with it.
