Patched and ready to load ?

Can I shoot paper patched bullets to 2000 fps. without gas checks and lube. If I need lube, do I lube the paper and the bullet nose or just the paper and what should I lube with.* I'm patching RCBS 30-180-FN. I sized the bullets to .301, then patched and sized to .309. Alloy is ww water cooled. I want to use these bullets for benchrest shooting.

You can push them faster than that with paper.
No lube, not needed
I size mine to .308, not .301, then size to .309.

I lube with BAC now but most anything will work. Paper only.
