Thoughts on using Accurate #5 or 7 for a light plinker load behind 240g cast?

dunno about that but 8gr Unique with a nice tight crimp is a nice round.

the Accurate manual has max loads of 14 grains of #5 and 17.5 grains of #7 for 240 cast bullet.the manual states to start at 10% less than max loads.
i've used 9.5 Unique with the Keith 245 and got an average velocity of 1,050 fps in a 6" S&W.

Got any Red Dot? Use about 7.5 to 8 grains.

I have found that 6.5 grains of Trail Boss under a RCBS .429-240-SWC works really well.

With either 240 or 250 grain bullet try/use 9 grains of IMR 4756. Not a lot of recoil and accurate out to 50 yards. Burns clean, LLS

7 gr Green Dot is the load most of us who hung around Shooters and moved with the board have picked up on. Thanks You Shuz. It really works. Label your cases with green nail polish over the primer and you know instantly which is which.

I use magic markers for that. Red, green, black, blue, & green. Doesn't chip off & just color the primer so when removed case is clean.
just my .02.
