I've worked up some loads for my 45 Colt 4 inch Redhawk and like the 360gr Cast Performance WFNGC bullet. With 19gr H110 (min load) 6 rounds average 1050fps and decent accuracy. I am going to play around for giggles and grins and load to max just because but have pretty much settled on this bullet and load for my woods carry protection.

I also have a Puma 454 Casull that really seems to like the CP 335gr WFNGC, very accurate and should be a great moose hunting round.

I am just getting in to casting and would like to find comparable moulds. Any ideas?
I would also like to get a heavy weight 45 mould like around 405gr. CP makes one as well.

Any ideas on where I can get moulds similar to these heavy Cast Performance bullets?

I like heavy boolits in my .45 too but you can exceed what the rifling can stabilize. I feel 335 gr is max in the .45.
Lyman makes a good mold, the 452651. The Lee C452-300-RF is also good.
If you like the 360, you might need a custom mold but I would not go any heavier. So much boolit will be in the case you reach a point of diminishing returns.

I have the same rifle, and the same moulds that 44 man recommended.

You will have to seat to crimp in the forward groove on both of these boolits for proper feeding. Reduce powder charges accordingly.

Here's something I posted on another forum regarding the Puma 454. I'm headed back to the range this weekend for another go 'round.

Here are the chrony numbers. New Starline brass, CCI BR-4 primers. Shot out of a Puma 92 20" barrel.

The 335gr were most accurate. One ragged 2 inch hole at 25 yds for all 10 rounds. The 360's opened up. I had some inconsistencies in my loads though, OAL and crimp. I have determined that the Puma wants the OAL to be 1.750-1.755. It cycles em like butter with that big metplate, slow or fast. But, In order for the case mouth to line up with the crimp groove I have to trim the case to 1.365. These first loads I did not trim the brass and actually fed them one at a time. I decided to go ahead and shoot them but will redo them now that I have the cases trimmed and can be consistent in the crimp. These were the first 454's I've loaded and the first ones down range in the 92 clone. What a fun little rifle though. I think I'm gonna love this thing. It liked the 255gr rnfp, 8.5gr Unique 45 Colt plinkin rounds also. Almost like shooting a 22. About 200fps faster in the Puma over the 4 inch Redhawk 45 Colt.
