Does anyone have any info or input on necking down a 7.62X39 to a 6mm or 25 cal. Has anyone tried this wild cat before?
Brian
Yes.
It's called the 6mm PPC.
It's a sporty little round that's won a few benchrest matches.

That's what I was wondering. The round I was looking at was the 6mm PPC. What gun are you shooting it in, if you don't mind me asking?

I bought this one about 14 years ago. They don't make them anymore. I wish I would have bought a #1 in the same caliber while they were making them. :(
Mine won't shoot with a custom benchrest rifle, but my best group is a .26", 5 shot group @ 100 yards. It regularly shoots half a MOA if the wind isn't bad.
Not too shabby for a 4x12 scope. I bought it for hunting deer when I was younger and didn't mind toting a heavier rifle.
