I have brick of Winchester No. 11 "Staynless" primes given to me some time ago. They appear to be Large Rifle size.
Not having hoarded components I'm eyeing the these vintage primers for reloading (45-70 & 38-55) cast boolit loads.
Anyone one know what these are???

On that same note I have a 357 Rem. Max. I reload to BP velocities. I have a bunch of Remmy 5 1/2 small pistol primers. Any thought on substituting pistol primers for rifle applications in mild applications?

A search answered my questions... a re-check of my inventory I found:

2000 small pistol primers
1000 LP Magnum primers
1000 Winchester "#11's (what ever they are)
partial brick of CCI large rifle (600)
plus assorted loose boxes of all sorts

So I needn't panick at this point... just shoot on :-D

Winchester No. 111 primers are Large Pistol, No. 120 and 115 are Large Rifle; haven't found any references that identify a Winchester No. 11 primer.
