After almost 9 months my .224 swage dies finally showed up from Richard Corbin. I'll be getting geared up this weekend to try them out next week. Casting various lenght slugs and making jackets out of RF cases. [smilie=1: Its took a while but it was worth it.

Good for you. You'll find that this is a very labor intensive endeavor.

I started with cast cores, but quickly changed to cut cores. Cut cores are much more uniform.

I got a core uniform die along with the stuff.... I've already been swaging .401, .411 and .429"....I like it so far.

You have passed the point of no return now. It's pretty freakin' addictive!

As long as you have the core sage die I would go down to your local Hardware store and pickup some 1/8" 50/50 or 40/60 wire solder and cut it for your cores.
This is what I use.
Unless you are after cost free bullets a one pound roll will make a lot of cores.
