I have an opportunity to get a Lyman Mag 20 at a good price. I already am using a Lee 4-20 and it seems to work fine.
Even at a good price the Lyman is much more than the Lee.
It looks like the spout on the Lyman might be easier to see when pouring. Are there any other advantages to the Lyman?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hopefully it won't drip! That was my biggest issue with the lee, I finally got fed up with it and traded it away and bought a RCBS pro melt. The RCBS is worth the $$$.

I have had 4 Lee pots and they all dripped. I just plug the dripper and use a ladle.

The biggest thing about the Lyman & RCBS is the pots are insulated, the Lee is not. If you can get it for a decent price I would buy it. I have the Lee 20# & an old 10#. I use the 10# for casting HP & keep 25-1 alloy in it. I use the 20# for larger production runs of gen purp. bullets.

Welded the spout shut and used a ladle. Other that that it works fine. The thing that I like about the Lee is that you can rebuild the heating coil and thermostat. Parts are cheap and usually available.
