I have been using GatorCheck gas checks for 45-70 405- and [in the near future] 425-grain LFN GC bullets. I am getting several thousand Hornady gas checks from a friend, also intended for 45-70 bullets. My loads are, and will be, within safe loading parameters of Hodgdon's data for H322 and IMR 3031. I do not load to the maximum loads identified by Hodgdon's data.
My query has zero to do with any changes in accuracy or point of impact. May I safely use GatorCheck OR Hornady gas checks on the bullets identified, using the same loading data, powders, primers, and brass?
