I shot a few of these through my 03's today. Pushed by about 15 gr of 2400, they grouped OK. 3 went into about an inch at 50 yds, and 5 did about 3 inches at 100. Actually 4 of the 5 were noticably tighter, but one opened it up. Point of impact was only about 3 inches higher than my normal cast '06 load, making for an easy sight adjustment. I could see using this as an offhand and rapid fire practice load.

I also tried 18 gr, which is my normal load for a 196 gr TC GC bullet. The "groups" were blown wide open. I could only find 4 holes at 100 yds, the fifth missed the paper and backer completely. No matter, lighter is better IMHO.

..............Is that the Lee group buy .315" x 120gr? I'd have thought something like 8.0grs of Red Dot would have been a good load to try. With 15.0/2400 I'd have expected 3" at 50 vs at 100 yards. That's not too bad for a little PBFN cast 120gr slug.

Yes, its the group buy we did last fall. I don't use Red Dot for anything, so I don't have any on hand. I will try some loads w/Green Dot when I get the chance.
