Hi All: I recently picked up a Herters Core cutter. The hole to feed the wire thru is
.400" in diameter. Were there guides that pressed into the hole for the various size wire? thanks, Dan

I believe that there were different sized disks based on what you were cutting.

From the description you have a Herter's Model 30 lead wire cutter. Two cutters (we would call them bushings) are required. They were offered in 22, 6mm, 30, 38, 44, 45 calibers. I do not have any and they are nearly impossible to locate today. Someone crafty with a lathe may be able to make them for you.
Do you have the core catcher? It is a metal box two inches deep, 1.25" x 1.75". Also used on the Super O press to catch primers.

might anyone have a pic of the cutter and the bushings? I'm sure I can make the bushings if I know what they look like. I'd sure like to see what the catcher looks like too. thanks much, Dan
