Got the barrel mounted and pinned, no pics of that part but it did get ugly. I had too much of an interference fit and the heating and cooling trick did not work, Was lucky to get them separated and saved. So it is up to this state now. Chambering came out well, closes on go gage, dosen't close on no-go.

Have got it drilled and tapped for the scope mount and the mount on. The will change in future incarnations of the monobloc. I will eliminate the mounting block you seen in this pic.

I will leave the top of the bloc thicker and drill and tap to mount the duo ring base directly, I will also drill and tap it before mating the bloc and barrel.

Next pic shows how duo ring fits.

After some further thought about scope mounting I am going to machine the next one for Ruger rings, might be easier.

It is finaly shootable just have to mount the forearm lug and go to the range.

Very nice! I just got my blank in, and hopefully will have it turned in the next few weeks. How do you spec your interferance fit? Both I.D. and O.D. the same? .001" smaller/bigger on one?
