Anyone tried it yet? Only 25 grains more then the heavier of the two AK moulds.

sd, I've used the 195gr. Ly. #314299 and a Hansen (Privi Partizan) 180gr. FMJ bullet in my Type 56 SKS on more than a few occasions. However, I don't wish to publish the powder charge or powder for fear that someone will try "just a little bit more" and harm both himself and his rifle. Btw, the accuracy with either bullet was better than you might expect.

Like Maven I have shot 180gr (jacketed) in the SKS I owned. 23gr W748 did the job for 1600fps. No problems at all and cycled the action.

If you do a thread search, I'm sure you'll find something. I remember distictly reading a thread where someone was talking about 185's out of his x39. I cant remember what thread it was.
