A friend gave me a pound of this a couple weeks back, I loaded some up today to seehow it would do. Loaded the 1st 5 with 40 grains, about 80% of the usable case capacity. Shot it and got a fair but reasonable even 2.5" group. Decided to go up 5% with the charge, this brought the charge to the bullet base, but not to a state of compressed. The group tightened by half at least, 1st shot was out of the main group by 3/4" or so, the main grooup beind defined by 3 shots in a horizontal row overlapping, the fourth shot beig about 1/2" higher than the first of the row (2nd fired shot) Overall , I like it adn like the velocity too, Didn't clock anything yet but based on POI against previous chronographed groups I'd say it's traveling 1700-1800 fps. Not too bad.

There are dingleberries left in the barrel, but this seems to be normal by others experiences, and it don't bother me none, I've shot lots dirtier. Anyone else out there using this powder in a 358 Winchester or 35 Whelen perhaps?

I shoot a case full in 8mm Mauser with 170-180 grainers. 40 grains. I shoot 38 grains in a 308 with 190-200 grainers. ... I like the powder for what it is. Cheap and shoots good enough for offhand charging whatchacallits. If it can be seen with open sights, it is a dead whatever up through 100 yards anyway. ... felix

Another caseful load, but with condom bullets. 45 gr 7383 with 115 gr nosler BT in a 257 Roberts AI for 2975 fps and sub moa. I haven't used it with cast much yet, but if it works with a 35 Whelen it should work with my 338-06.
