I have a one pound unopend can of Norma 203 powder. And a one pound can of Ball-C Lot #1 powder. Not sure of is AGE.:???:
Any have loading data for this powder... Or should I dispose of it??

If they are from the same souce, chances are they were both bought about the same time. That would be in the early to mid 60s. If taken care of, they both are as good as new, especially the BLC2. The latter is a coveted powder for the 222 Mag. ... felix

Jeff; the Ball-C powder was sold in mid 1960's where I lived and I loaded a lot of it. I used it in the 30-30, 308 and 225 Winchester. If it was stored correctly you have a nice find, especially if you shoot a 222, 223. The N203 is close to 4064 speed and you can find loading data, nice find!

I have some n203 and the loading manual. Good powder. It was my Dad's
and cost $3.39 from the Spokane Sportsmans Surplus. Probably early
70's.

What cartridge/bullet weight are you loading for?

I could post the recipes.

Is there a difference in lot #1 and lot #2 BL-C?

Yes, actually more than a lot's worth of difference between BLC1 (BLC) and BLC2, sorta' like the difference between RL7 early and RL7 late. Look at the RL7 thread. ... felix

I Load,22 hornet, 223, 22-250 and many others If you have data for either powder I would rather dispose of it down my barrel than trash it.... Thanks guys... Jeff:Fire:

50 grain bullet
n203 34.4 grains min 3400 fps, 38.8 grains max 3800 fps

55 grain bullet
n203 33.6 grains min 3250 fps, 38 grains max 3650 fps

From Norma reloading manual #1965

All Norma powders were good,the .Norma 220 Swift Factory load was loaded with the 203 powder,it could be also usedin 308,3006 etc.
