A new to me lyman mold has some lead between the blocks that is causing some finning. I tried to get it off but was unable with my method. What should I use to get the lead off?

Cut as much as you can off with a razor blade then get the blocks hot and use 0000 steel wool

I use a small brass brush and very lightly brush it off while the mould is hot.

Take an ingot that has a fairly pointy corner and rub the lead or smear with some pressure on it. The lead or smear will adhere to the ingot(corner). Works either hot or cold and in other places on the mold as well such as the tops of the blocks or the underside of the sprue cutter. LLS
