Herter's 30-06 Primer Pocker Swager

Help, I just aquired a Herter's 30-06 Military primer pocket swage tool and I need instructions on how to set it up, it is totally different from the RCBS tool. Thanks, Don

depends on the age of the brass. If you use around 58 up it will work fair. Older It dont do a good job. You will need a very strong press to make it work. Your best way is a trimmer with a pocket remmer. Put punch in shell holder and push shell down on it like seating a primer. but you have to use about 80 to 100lbs of force. After about 100 brass you WILL get a remmer

The other problem is it is hard to get them uniform. Some will be fine and some you cant get a primer to seat. I have one if you want a spare. That is why HE gave it away
