Need some help. Does anyone here know the twist rate for Marlin 1881 38-55?
Thanks for any input.

Yes! My 1881's in .38-55 have 1-20" twist rate.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for, I'm considering buying another '81, and hoping for 18-20 twist rate.
I posted the same on MO, a few days ago, and nobody replied.
Thanks again,
Jon

I have an OLD Marlin catalog - there is a short section on the 38-55 where they state they like the 1/20 twist for the cartridge. My Marlin 1893 in 38-55 is also the 1/20 twist.

What section did you post in at MO site? I didn't see it there, but rarely get beyond the "collectors" threads. Can't have too many 1881 Marlins!
