Know the general way to do this but what do you pros suggest? Have heard fishing weights pushed through. Soft lead is a must I am guessing. Thanks

There are two good ways depending on your equipment. Either start a soft lead ball slightly oversize in a well oiled barrel and tap it in the muzzle and push it through. Or if you have the equipment, a long brass rod about bore diameter and a short brass rod of about bore diameter. Place a soft lead slug slightly under bore diameter in the barrel either at the breech or the muzzle. Take the long rod and use it to upset the slug against the short rod. This lets you measure at the breech and at the muzzle or if you have several rods at any point from the leade to the muzzle. Method #1 will measure only the SMALLEST section that it is pushed through. But as you push from muzzle to breech yu can feel any tight spots. Once the slug is started at the muzzle it suldn't take much pressure to push it through. Ideally the barrle sould taper slightly from breech to muzzle say 1 thousand or so.
