Recently received a Lee double cavity .319" round ball mould. Casting them with WW, 9 balls fit neatly inside a wad and weigh about 5 grains less than 1 oz. Powders on hand: Solo 1000, Unique, and AA #5. Hulls will be either AA or Remington unibody, have WAA12 and Fig. 8 wads, and primer will be W209. Any load data advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see anything in the Lyman 5th using those hulls and powder, hope you find a load.

Kent,

Tried your 28 grain Unique load with a Remington hull, Win209 primer, and a Figure 8 wad. Works fine. Thanks.

I just got a 20 cavity mold in 00-B. I have been using 20 grains of red-dot and 20 of universal clays in high base shells with a winchester 209 primer and 8 petal wad. I have also been putting up to 12 pellets in the shell.

It shoots great and they are just at an ounce and a quarter with all 12 in there. Anybody ever use more than 9 pellets of 00-B? I keep hearing more than 9 is taboo, but it works fine and shoots great............. Just thought I would ask.

The reason for 9 is low recoil for quick follow up shots. Also if you shoot at 2 pieces of 3/4 in plywood at 25 yds the last 3or4 will not go through most of the time
