Gentleman,

I have a bit of a problem. I need load info for my rifle. I'm using a RCBS 170 grain flat noise. 32-170-FN. With a GC on it. Now what i got was this so far and maybe you all can give me some good info on it. I want to run IMR4198 becuase i can run that in all my rifles

Lyman 48th
170g jacketed only
IMR4198 24.0-27.0g

Lee 2nd
H4198 24.0-27.0g

From what I have read the H4198 are interchangable with the IMR4198.

I know that CB needs less powder does anyone out there have a good load for this.

Thanks
Jason

Jason, it looks like 24 grains would be about right for a starter load. 27 grains of either 4198 flavors would be max in my book. ... felix

JB, Lyman 45th 32 Win Special - IMR 4198
164 grain cast w/ gc - start 17 gr for 1319 fps; max 26 gr. 2032 fps
184 grain cast w/gc - start 17 gr. 1330 fps; max 25 gr. for 1918 fps.
FWIW it also says the 25 grain load with big boolit is accuracy load.
