Loads for 300gr+ 45lc Boolits?

I recently sized about 50 of the 340gr Lee .457 (for 45-70) down to .452 for my 45lc marlin.....anyone either shoot that same boolit or a similar weight? Im trying to find what loads and what powders I need for them bigger ones :) thanks :drinks:

I have only fired 300 gr TC type bullets in a 45 colt rifle. I am not sure it the twist rate of the Marlin is fast enough to stabilize a 340 gr slug. I would be curious to find out how it works.

I've had good luck with that bullet in a Winchester 94 using 21gr H110.

I leave them large (.457) because they will chamber at that size and they shoot better that way.
