good fast powder with cast in the .222?

Green Dot works for me. Load to 1700-1800 fps, more or less depending on the twist rate in your barrel.

I had very good results with Unique up through 1600 fps. I used H4895 with a dacron filler for loads up through 2300 fps with excellent results also.

+1 for the Unique but IMR4227 will be faster and I use both with great results. I use 12.2gr IMR4227 and it gives me around 2230fps with a 50gr cast boolit
