I used to use AL 7 a long time ago in .38 spec and 357 mag . I just picked up a jug real cheap and was wondering if any of you brothers might have any load data for .45acp , 200-230gr cast or jacketed and 9mm 115-124 gr cast/jacketed ?

225 gr Speer HP 9.2 grains AL7 max load, 8.7 grains beginning load. Only cast load it shows is for the 45 AR, which you can use for a 45 acp load with the starting load is: starting load 250 gr SWC of 7.5 grains of AL7, max load is 7.9 grs. That's with Speers swaged bullet. You can introplate that load for say a 230 gr bullet.

My Speer book doesn't show any loads for the 9mm with the AL7. Seems the AL5 was the more widely used for pistol loads. It does show loads with the AL7 for the 38 Super, but they aren't appropiate for the 9mm. I think that would require too much introplating to be safe.

Hey Scot, my Speer manual is a #9, I knew an older one would be better. Cool.
