7.62 NATO Chamber change?

I have A Spainish Civil Guard Short Rifle in7.62 I would like to rechamber to A safer pressure round like 7.5 Swiss . Can any one think of A down side to doing this.

Enlarged boltface, larger base diameter decreaseing safety factor, conversion cost, harder to find more expensive ammo, need I go on? Simply load the 308 down, standard 308 win dies work fine in all the spanish rifles of which there are several versions. Standard cast boolit loads are great in all of these.
