I am trying to get some more load data on unique and bullseye for loading in a 30-30. I am sure there are some of you out there that do this on a regular basis. I will be shooting a variety of different boolits, (all cast) from 120-165 gr. Any input would be great. Thanks

with the weights you mentioned

BE 5-8gr
Unique 6-9gr

Unique 6.0-10.0gr, 1100-1500fps(170gr) I use this data with everything from 100-180gr. With PB boolits 6.0-7.0gr is good.
I don't use BE so I only had one load. It is 6.2gr under a 100gr plinker for a velocity of 1241fps.

After a little googling:

Paco Kelly has done a little work with it. He mentions it in his "Varmint Article". http://www.leverguns.com/articles/paco/3030varmint.htm

If you want something quiet here is an article you might like. http://hgmould.gunloads.com/casting/whisperloads.htm

I guess now I have a few more loads than I had before this post. Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys. I am loading several rounds with varget, and the rest with Bullseye. I dont want to break into the unopened Unique yet. But when I do, I think that will be what I use. I am trying to use the "corners" of each can of powder. After I get low in the dillon powder measure, it does not meter very well. So I dump the powder into ther original container and set it aside. I dont use my 30-30 for much except making racket in the back yard, so I will use it as a "test" bed for various powder and boolit combo's, utilizing the "corners" of these mostly used up powders. Thanks for the starting point.
